USAID DECA report emphasizes importance of technology education in El Salvador

The Digital Ecosystem Country Assessment (DECA) report, a document created by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is a digital strategy initiative that identifies opportunities and risks in a country’s digital ecosystem to assist in the development, design and implementation of USAID strategies, projects and activities.

The Digital Ecosystem Assessment of El Salvador shows progress in the areas of connectivity and access to technological devices; however, one of the main challenges is Digital Literacy, which will help reduce the digital divide and enable students to enter the competitive technological labor market.

At TBox we focus on promoting quality technology education, through an educational curriculum and constant innovation, TBox empowers educational institutions and teenagers to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in the digital world.

Technology education is presented as a fundamental tool to address the challenges facing El Salvador and other Latin American countries in terms of education, economic development and innovation. By investing in technology education, access and quality of education can be improved, innovation, employment and entrepreneurship can be fostered, and the digital and technological skills of the workforce can be enhanced. It is therefore critical that decision-makers and the public and private sectors invest in technology education to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for all.
